Written by award-winning children’s playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer, this whimsical story is brought to life through shadow puppetry, immersive staging, and a strong ensemble of storytellers. The award-winning This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing elegantly weaves together the fantastical and the everyday to narrate the separation of three sisters and the lifetime's worth of stories created along their journey home.This thoughtful, energetic production invites audiences of all ages to share in the bitter sweetness of growing up. Irish-born playwright Finegan Krukemeyer writes for children's theatre and is based in Tasmania, Australia. His plays have been performed around the world, and one of his most famous plays- The Tragical Life of Cheeseboy- opened off-Broadway this past May.
